FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Hand-tied discreet hair extensions
The installation process

Will I be able to wear my hair up?

Yes, you can enjoy a variety of different styles including high ponytails and braids - all while keeping your extensions hidden.

How do I know how many rows I will need?

During your custom consultation we will discuss how many rows will be required to achieve your dream hair goals. It will range between 1 and 3 rows, with half row options as well.

Can I swim with them in?

Absolutely! This sturdy, comfortable, sew-in method is a perfect fit for women with active lifestyles. You can continue enjoying all of your favorite activities while looking and feeling your best.

Do they hurt?

No. The unique sectioning and  bead placement was specifically designed to maintain the health of your natural hair and scalp. It is customized to your head shape and hair texture for added comfort.

Will they take a long time to style?

One of my FAVORITE perks of wearing hair extensions is how much it has reduced the time I spend styling my hair. It will take some extra time drying and styling on wash day - but otherwise you can wake up and go with little to no effort daily.

What is the installation process like?

We'll start by taking some before photos and then I'll color your natural hair. Once that has processed, I'll start the beadwork - this is how the string is attached to your hair. The extensions are then sewed around the string. After a customized cut and style and a few final photos, you'll be ready to enjoy your transformation.

Do you remove the extensions or just keep sliding them up?

The extensions are fully removed and reinstalled at each appointment. It's healthier for your scalp and hair and it feels great getting pampered with a fresh scrub and massage on your scalp every time.

Which method of extensions do you use?

I am certified in NBR or Natural Beaded Rows: a luxury method of sew-in hair extensions based out of California. This technique utilizes beads and string (no glue, tape, or bonds) and the highest quality hair.

How long do they last?

This method requires move-up ("refresh") appointments every 6-8 weeks. The extension hair can be reused for approximately 6-8 months before it needs to be replaced.

Will they damage my hair?

No. With proper installation, care, and maintenance, sew-in hair extensions are safe on your natural hair and scalp - even on fragile hair types.

Can I still wash and brush my hair with them in?

Yes - brushing well and often is an important part of your at-home maintenance. Washing is recommended every 4-7 days, but many women are able to stretch it even longer.
